lower skins). I have the metal windshield frame
(fair shape) with good glass and rubber). I have
the factory rear and front seats) All can be available
as part of the deal.
The truck was put together
and taken apart numerous times, while I worked the
fit and finish, before the final holes were drilled,
then everything was sent out to be individually
painted. I then did the final assembly in the spring
of 2000.
Being a 1981 BJ42 it is 4spd,
manual steering, 3B diesel.
All bolts never seized, SS
hardware used, all metal to metal has numerous coats
of paint between, and steel to aluminium has numerous
coats of paint, and lots of Silkaflex (two tubes),
and add ons have rubber washers.
Lots of pictures of the process,
which will go to the new owner, as well as all major
receipts.
The motor has never been worked,
other then injectors, and afaik it is original.
Oil pressure/compression numbers will be posted
soon.
I have been anal about maintenance,
with oil changes every 5000kms, using Delo15/40
most of the time.
Rear main seal just replaced.
This is not a perfect truck.
The drive train has 317,000kms on it. I have used
it since the renovation (Moab twice, and Blackhills
once, as well as local trips). There is pin stripping.
It is however a fantastic foundation...cause it's
all there.
Price is $19,500 cdn range,
depending on what comes with it.
I am open to trades plus cash
for a high mileage, no rust, maintained, FZJ80 (1993/94)
with lockers. Slightly modified is ok. I am more
then happy to take my vehicle to a shop of your
choice to have it inspected, as I expect you will
be with yours.
