We prefer to buy complete parts trucks from Japan, and then drive them from the docks to our shop. We can then subjectively assess the drivetrain, before processing the engine for it's numbers.

Occasionally we will purchase a complete 1HD-T 1/2 cut, or engine/transmission from Japan. This will only be out of verified running vehicles. We process the engine upon it's arrival to ensure health, and numbers will be available.

As value added service, we can have your injectors serviced, as well as the turbo rebuilt. During that process we can have the turbo and exhaust manifold ceramic coated for you. This way, you will be starting from square one with your components. We can also supply 12V alternators, rebuilt starters to 12V, and 12V VSV's.

If the engine you are interested in is still in the vehicle, you are more then welcome to come visit and take it for a test drive. If it is out of the vehicle, either Sheldon or Greg has driven the vehicle to the shop from the docks, and full testing/service of the engine was done in the vehicle, before being pulled.

Bring a trailer, and lets pull it while you are here, so you can take it home with you!

If you are trying to determine which engine conversion suits you best, we suggest going to IH8MUD and Pirates4x4. Search and ask questions, as there are a number of 13BT, 12HT, 1HZ and 1HD-T diesel engine swaps that have been detailed on both sites. If you do not see an engine listed in our current inventory page then we do not have it in stock. We do keep a list of people who are interested in a particular engine. When we have that engine, it is processed and numbers known, we will then go though the list...first person to say yes gets the engine. If you wish to be placed on this list please contact Sheldon.

Seen below is a list of engines that has been in our inventory. Prices are approximate, and are not determined until an engine has been serviced and tested in our shop.

		1HD-FT with factory automatic transmission and transfer case. Direct Injected Factory Turbo Charged 6 cylinder diesel, with 168HP and 280ft-lbs torque. Over $10,000 Cdn for an engine/tranny combo, depending on condition, options. Supply is limited.

		Land Cruiser 1HD-T 6 cyl, factory turbo charged, direct injected diesel engine from Japan.  $8500.00 to $9500.00 Cdn for an engine/tranny combo. $7500.00 Cdn for a long block. This engine produces approximately 160 HP in stock formation but the wastegate can be adjusted to allow it to produce as much as 190 hp.
